Things to do

Believe it or not we haven't done that much exploring. The Food Trails, The Calvados Trail and goodness knows what else. Please tell me what you discover! There are hundreds of leaflets at our gite.

Golf

According to the Daily Telegraph one of the top world golf courses is near us! Take your clubs, learn some phrases and have fun on either the 9 hole course near Vire or the 27 hole course on the coast. More >>>

Bungee Jumping

World first - following the South Sea Islanders traditional rite of passage. Now everyone is doing it. Worth a trip to watch as they plunge off the tall viaduct.

Camembert

Visit the actual village. there are two shops - the Mayors and an English ladies. Didn't you see the TV program?

Mont St Michel

You just have to visit this amazing island with shops spiralling to the top.

Bayeaux

The tapestry is superbly displayed. The town itself is worth walking round, plenty of restaurants.

Caen

Big shopping city. Excellent old quarter and big shopping area. The War Memorial Exhibition is superb.

Villedieu des Poeles

Actually means God's town of Frying Pans. Crazy place, all the shops lining the hill are festooned with copper pans and the like. Also they make bells here. Really big hunchback-type bells.
